Welcome to the Home Page of the 1^st Pinhoe Scout Troop

Who are we?

The Scouts are organised into patrols, with a Patrol Leader and an Assistant Patrol Leader within each patrol. We have Boy and girl Scouts in our Troop and we are aged between 10 ½ and 14 years old.

What do we do?

We meet on Friday evenings between 7:00 and 9:00 pm. Every term there is a patrol challenge which operates between patrols and is based on points awarded for performance of activities, inspections and organisational skills. The Patrol Challenge trophy is awarded at the beginning of each term to the winning patrol from the previous term.

Over the past year we have had our Summer camp (at Charmouth), been involved in competitions with other Scout troops in Exeter for a raft-race and on orienteering and outdoor challenges. We also organise cooking competitions (on open fires and inside) and have been on visits to places like the Normal Lockyear Observatory.
